2013 Historic Marker Presentation

Recipients of Historic Markers 2013 -  Historic Marker recipients and WPS Researcher Doug Hinman and new WPS Vice President & assistant researcher Steve Thompson holding the plaque for 14 Park St as the owners were unable to attend.

The Warren Preservation Society presented Historic Markers for five properties in town last Thursday.

Annual Meeting June 20th

Warren Preservation Society Annual Meeting with Elections and Historic House Marker Presentation.


The evening will begin with a potluck supper at 6:30 for all members and guests and the meeting and presentation will follow at 7:30.

The documentary Old House Soul by Don Manley and Michel Schtakleff examines the life and work of Steve Tyson Sr. (1942-2008), a Rhode Island preservationist whose company is responsible for restoring and preserving hundreds of historic buildings and houses across Rhode Island. The documentary pays homage to his legacy and the tradition of architectural preservation in Rhode Island.

The film premiered at the 2010 RI International Film Festival and won the Providence Film Festival Grand Award. The documentary runs approximately 60 minutes.
