WPS Annual Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser

Join us for the third annual WPS Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser.

  The menu will include pancakes, sausage, fruit and assorted beverages. 

This is a fun, family event and is open to all members and friends of WPS.

 

Third grade students visit Warren: A Point of View

On Tuesday, December 3rd and Wednesday, December 4th the Hugh Cole School third grade classrooms visited Imago to see the Warren: A Point of View exhibit.  The students were enthusiastic and had many interesting questions about the exhibit, including the art work and history of Warren.

We were so happy to have the third grade experience Warren: A Point of View.  We hope that the stories told in the interviews will enhance the third graders' study of Warren history this school year and show them that history in Warren is fun, interactive and happening every day.


 

 

Oral History Project Collaborative Exhibit

 

The opening reception for Warren: A Point of View - Artistic impressions of Warren by IFA & stories of the Silent Generation by WPS was held on Friday, November 15th from 6 - 8 p.m. at Imago Gallery on Market Street.

The reception was a tremendous success with a great response from the community.  The featured guests were our Oral History interview subjects and their families and friends. We are so grateful to them for sharing their stories with us. WPS would also like to thank Buzz Barry, who was unable to attend the reception. The Oral History Project Committee would also like to honor the memories of interview subjects Alexander Mikulski and Jennie Proto. 

The exhibit will be featured at Imago Gallery until December 22nd, 2013.  Exhibit hours are Thursday - Saturday, noon to 8 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.

The Oral History Project Committee Members - Nathan Arndt, Jill Culora, Doug Hinman, Helen Hawkins and Kristin MacDonald - would like to thank everyone who helped make this exhibit a reality, including: IFA members and participating artists, Irene Plamondon, Mary Ellen Munro, Massasoit Historical Association, George Hail Library, Mary Healey-Jamiel, Sharon Lombardo, Scott Lial, Jack Flynn, Ned Hinman, FrameItRI and WPS President Eileen Collins.

This exhibit is dedicated to the memories of Walter Nebiker and Lombard Pozzi.
